This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in this Warranty Policy limits or excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Limited Lifetime Warranty

The CLD Fabrication Limited Lifetime Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for the expected usable life of the product when used under normal domestic BBQ conditions by the original purchaser.

If a covered product experiences a structural failure due to a manufacturing or material defect during normal use, CLD Fabrication will, at its discretion:

• Repair the product;
• Replace the product with the same or equivalent model; or
• Provide another remedy as required under Australian Consumer Law.

Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

Products Covered

The following products are currently covered by our Limited Lifetime Warranty:

• Stainless Steel Charcoal Chimneys
  • Mini Charcoal Chimney
  • Standard Charcoal Chimney
  • Extra Large Charcoal Chimney

Additional CLD Fabrication products may be added to this list in the future as they become eligible.

What is Covered

Our Limited Lifetime Warranty covers defects arising from:

• Manufacturing defects
• Material defects
• Weld failures
• Structural failures during normal domestic BBQ use

What is Not Covered

The Limited Lifetime Warranty does not cover:

• Heat staining or colour changes to stainless steel
• Cosmetic scratches, dents or marks
• Surface rust or tea staining caused by contamination, chemical exposure or improper storage
• Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, accidents or improper use
• Damage resulting from product modifications or alterations
• Commercial or industrial use unless otherwise stated
• Normal wear and tear

For products fitted with timber handles:

• Natural movement, checking, cracking, warping or shrinkage of timber
• Discolouration from heat, sunlight or weather exposure
• Damage caused by moisture, improper storage or lack of maintenance, including failure to periodically re-oil the timber handle

These characteristics are considered normal for natural timber products and are not manufacturing defects.

Warranty Claims

If you believe your product is covered under this warranty, please contact CLD Fabrication before returning the product.

Please include:

• Your name
• Proof of purchase
• A description of the issue
• Clear photographs showing the problem

We may request additional information or ask that the product be returned for inspection before determining whether the warranty applies.

If your claim is approved, CLD Fabrication will repair or replace the product at our discretion.

Care and Maintenance

To maximise the life of your CLD Fabrication products we recommend:

• Storing products in a dry environment when not in use
• Cleaning stainless steel after use to remove grease, ash and contaminants
• Seasoning any Steel products and ensure dry storage
• Periodically re-oiling Tasmanian Oak handles with a suitable food-safe timber oil
• Avoiding prolonged exposure to harsh weather where practical

Please note that stainless steel exposed to high cooking temperatures will naturally develop a heat-tinted patina. This is a normal characteristic of stainless steel and does not affect the strength, durability or performance of the product.
